Chicago Amtrak trains arrive and depart at Union Station at 225 South Canal Street. Two CTA stations and one Metra station are less than a 10-minute walk away, so there are several options for getting to or from Amtrak trains on transit. View directions below.
CTA
The Quincy Station on the brown, orange and pink line and the Clinton Blue Station are both a 7-minute walk away from Union Station. From Quincy, walk under the tracks in either direction and head west on W. Adams (toward Dunkin’ Donuts) or W. Jackson Street (toward Chase Bank) and walk about three blocks (which will take you over the river).
From Clinton, walk north on S. Clinton Street against the one-way traffic and turn right on W. Jackson then left on S. Canal.
Metra
The Ogilvie Transportation Center is diagonally across from one of the Union Station entrances. Exit the Metra station on W. Madison Street via the Citigroup Center. Turn left to walk against the one-way car traffic to reach the Union Station entrance. Cross over W. Madison Avenue at the S. Canal Street stoplight.
