Douglas Park is a large public park west of downtown Chicago closest to the California (Pink) CTA Station. Features include a miniature golf course, multiple playgrounds, an outdoor swimming pool, basketball courts, running track and sport fields.
Things to Know
- The CTA station is less than a block away from the park and 25-minute train ride from the Loop
- Kedzie-Homan Station on the blue line is about 15 minutes away on foot as another option
- Crime is a larger issue at this park compared to parks closer to downtown
Connect with the pink line in the Loop if you need to transfer. The Clark/Lake CTA station is a good transfer point between all lines except red. The handicap-accessible CTA transfer from red to pink is Jackson Red to Harold Washington Library Station.
Once at California (Pink), walk north on California toward the large three-story brick building.
